MS SQL: How to back up a Database?


Find the database you want to create a backup in Object Explorer.


Right click on the database you want to create a backup, select Task, then select Backup


In this example, I am going to created a full backup of the Core database, and the Backup type is a Copy-only backup.


Select your backup’s Media Options


Select your Back Up Options

Click OK after you have chosen your Back Up Options


After the back up ran, you are done backing up your database

Now, navigate to your back up location to see the database backup file
